Phone bill

  • Typically this is paid via direct debit monthly. If you set up a direct debit the money will depart you account every month as instructed.
  • If you opt to pay for you phone on finance, this is usually included in your monthly bill, e.g. £25 phone cost/device plan + £25 tariff = £50 monthly bill.
  • A Tariff is the contract you are on with the phone company with regards to your entitlement e.g. 1000 minutes, 2000 texts and 4g data.
  • Instead of being on a monthly plan, you can also buy a pay as you go phone contracts where you buy/top up credit as and when you need it. This type of plan is particularly useful for going abroad to avoid unexpected charges.
